Ojimgbo

O.G.S.S in order to pay homage to it's first Mother, Mother Labore, named the school hall "Labore Hall". The school motto prior to 1999 was "SEDES APIENTIE" (Seat Of Wisdom). In 1999, Chief Mrs. Theresa O. Okonkwo known to most as "mother" (the principal from 1981 until 2002) changed the motto from "SEDES APIENTIE" (Seat of Wisdom) to "LABORARE EST ORARE" (To Work is to Pray).
This information stands as of June 2002, and will be updated as needed.

naija men and our chics
Saturday, January 20 @ 16:35:31 EST by afrq (557 reads)
General OGSS Articleschudie writes "Hey ladies (and guys), i know i've never really posted anything whatsoever here but i have this issue with our men that i want to bring up for discussion.

I need honest inputs in regards to this topic since it affects almost all of us chics.our men that are here in the States and back home all seem to have issues with chics like us that have tasted independence, u know, leaving home by urself and staying with some uncle or aunty for a while and then move out on ur own.

i have heard several of them say that they fear such chics cos they've solved most of their problems by themselves and so do not think they need a man to run their lives for them.

i think it's a matter of misunderstanding. the girls have had enuff time dealing with one issue or the other on their own and when someone (be it momsi,popsi,b/f,etc) comes along and want to run things, this chic would absolutely feel odd abt the whole situation. in my opinion, i think the "significant other" should at least give her the chance to take care of her own at times.
it can really be hard for such chics to just back out cos this is what she's dealt with all alone over the years. the automatic assumption is that they are not "submissive". yes, i've been called that.

i think that the guys should take the time to remind the girl that he's not there to fight over power. he's the man but then again, a real man should be proud to have a chic that knows what she wants. i do not see anything wrong with a girl voicing her opinion or knowing how to fix one thing or the other.

i am just saying these words from my own point of view and need all u ladies to look into it and tell me if i'm wrong. (guys, i also need ur inputs). i loook forward to reading from all u intelligent pple. hey, i'm not always this serious but this is very serious to me so pls bear with moi."
